L’idea dei costruttori della Velozzi è quella di un veicolo Multi fuel.
Infatti non pensano che i veicoli elettrici, possano essere la soluzione, perchè anche se un veicolo mosso da elettricità produce inquinamento zero, il problema stà nell’immaginare di avere tutti i veicoli del mondo mossi dall’elettricità e nell’essere conscienti che noi non riusciamo a produrre nemmeno l’energia elettrica per le nostre esigenze quotidiane (vedi i black out estivi) quindi come possiamo pensare di alimentare tutte le auto del mondo?
Il concetto della turbina che è in fase di sviluppo da questo team di ricercatori è il seguente :
This micro turbine battery charger will create electricity to charge the battery pack system that in turn will feed electricity to the electric motor. You will be able to go to a gas station and fill the tank with any heavy fuel and run the micro turbine battery charger on board to recharge the battery system, as you drive which, in turns power the electric engines. This gives you freedom not to rely only on an electrical outlet to recharge the system, like pure electric cars do, but we will be able to use the current gas infrastructure. Further more, you will still be able to charge the battery pack system at home as well, if you have a clean source of electricity. Velozzi wants to give the consumers different options to help the environment. Remember. Electricity is only an environmental friendly power, if it comes from a clean source. Most electricity in the U.S. and in the world comes from coal burning, which is one of the worst pollutants industries in the world. Energy developed from the velozzi micro turbine battery charger, is a much more environmental friendly form of energy than the electricity coming from the electrical grid.
